Tenerife Airport Accident Report (27 March 1977)
Official Dutch government investigation into the collision of two Boeing 747 aircraft at Los Rodeos Airport (now Tenerife North), Canary Islands, on 27 March 1977. The accident killed 583 passengers and crew—at the time, the deadliest aviation accident in history. The report comprises the factual investigation and findings of the Royal Netherlands Civil Aviation Board.

On 27 March 1977, a terrorist bomb at Gran Canaria Airport forced the diversion of numerous flights to the smaller Los Rodeos field on Tenerife. In deteriorating weather and poor visibility, a KLM Boeing 747 and a Pan American 747 collided on the runway, killing all 583 people aboard both aircraft. The Royal Netherlands Civil Aviation Board produced this forty-eight-page final report. The document contains the factual findings, sequence of events, and the investigation's conclusions on the causes. The collision occurred in part due to miscommunication between pilots and air traffic control during the emergency diversion—a factor that prompted subsequent changes to standard phraseology in international aviation.
